Meet Hannah: The creative behind our Crafting Connections packs
Every month, children and older people across the UK connect through Crafting Connections and a big part of the magic comes from the way our packs look and feel.
For the past seven months, volunteer designer Hannah Crossley from HannahDidIt has been bringing our packs to life with her colourful illustrations and playful designs.
Building Belonging Locally
We’re a national charity with a simple mission: to bring generations together to boost wellbeing, reduce loneliness and foster stronger, happier communities. However, although our impact is national, our magic always begins locally, in the community rooms and lounges of care settings, where intergenerational friendships flourish.

Finding connection in the early days of parenthood: A conversation with NCT
Becoming a parent can be magical, but let’s be honest, it can also be messy, exhausting and lonely. At The Together Project, we know that one of the most powerful things you can offer a new parent is connection, a moment of joy, a sense of belonging, and a friendly face that says you’re not alone.
When one intergenerational project inspires another:
Sometimes the simplest joyful moments can spark something extraordinary. That’s exactly what happened when one of our Songs & Smiles sessions at Appleby Blue Almshouse in Bermondsey became the inspiration for a stunning painting — now featured in the Royal Academy’s Young Artists’ Summer Show!

Could babies help heal loneliness?
Wes Streeting thinks so!
At The Together Project, we’ve long known something special happens when little one, their grownups and older people come together. The smiles, the gentle hand-holding, the genuine connection and shared laughter – they don’t just warm hearts. They change lives.
Why telling our story matters
At The Together Project, we believe that joyful intergenerational experiences can change lives. Whether it's babies and toddlers singing and playing with care home residents at a Songs & Smiles session or the shared pride between a child and their older friend in Crafting Connections, those moments are packed with meaning.

Supporting healthy ageing and care home communities
The Centre for Ageing Better's latest report, "The State of Ageing 2025," paints a challenging picture for older people across England, highlighting increased loneliness, health disparities, and inadequate housing. Based on these findings, it’s not a great leap to assume there is a rising need for high-quality care home spaces, as more older adults experience poor health and isolation.
Bringing more joy to dementia care
We’ve got some exciting news to share! The Together Project is officially partnering with the National Dementia Care Accreditation Scheme (NaDCAS) – and we’re thrilled to be their first-ever partnership.
